No matter what titles our dogs may ever win
or how correct in conformation, no matter what extraordinary bloodlines they may be from, what stupendous coats they may possess or any of the things we strive so hard to obtain when being a breeder; the dogs you will meet below are the true jewels in our crown...
The products of our disposable society who were gracious enough to give humanity another chance and enrich our lives with their love.

Romeo's Story...
Romeo was our first Standard Poodle.  Our family met Romeo while donating free groomings at an animal shelter in TX in May of 1997.  You wouldn't understand how a dog can talk with it's eyes unless you've been loved by a dog and allowed yourself to love them as well.  Romeo's eyes spoke to me, right to my heart.  Romeo had been picked up on the streets, thin and wormy and his beautiful black coat long past due for a grooming.  He had a collar embedded in his neck where his former owners had never resized it from puppyhood (picture of wound above).  Romeo also had kennel cough and parvo, not a very bright future.  Romeo has heart though, more than most humans that I know and he fought and he won.  He won his freedom from a shelter cell, he won his health back and he won a family that loves him more than I can express to you on these pages.  We won the most incredible gift in being allowed to share our hearts and home with this most special of boys and he introduced us to the most wonderful breed on the planet.
**On April 24, 2006 my Romeo, one of the biggest loves of my entire life was called back to Heaven.  Romey boy, you have NO idea how much Mama misses you!  The only thing getting me through this loss is knowing that I'll see you again one day.  I LOVE YOU!**
Ashton's Story...

As you can see from the picture on the left Ashton came to us in not so good condition either.  He will be 9 years old this year and has recovered from his malnourished weight of just 34 pounds due to an idiot's decision to not feed the "damn Poodle" but only the more manly Chow that he owned.  If the Poodle wanted to eat well he'd have to fight the Chow to do so.  Ashton fought enough to keep himself alive and come into our care when his conditions were made known to us.  Here he'll stay until he crosses the Rainbow Bridge.
Ashton is the grandson to the 1991 Best In Show Westminster winner.  Amazing how a dog destinned for greatness can be tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper when placed in the wrong hands.  If a breeder asks you a lot of questions before determining if you are an adequate home for one of their babies, remember Ashton's story and you'll know why.
Pictured to the left is Ashton after lots of tender loving care with our youngest son Josh.  He'll never fight for a meal again, not as long as I'm alive... and now he can spend the rest of his days snoozing on the couch.
Spooky's Story...
Looking for love?
Try Petfinder or a shelter near you.
Spooky came into our lives back in the summer of 1991.  We were experiencing an awful electrical storm and the transformer had been hit so it was dark and very stormy as we sat there and started hearing really strange sounds coming from under our house.  I finally surmised that it was the sound of puppies and quickly ran outside, crawled under the house and located this little lady having her babies.  We later found out that Spooky had been dumped in that vicinity because her former owners figured someone would take her in after she had the audacity to get pregnant!  I guess they never heard of a little proceedure they call SPAYING!  Idiots!  We took everyone in and raised the babies and got Spooky back to good health and SPAYED!  The vet guessed her to be approximately 5 years old at that time, assuming the vet was right Spooky will celebrate her 18th birthday this year.  She has been the best friend and protector to our youngest son Joshua, pictured with her above.  He'll be 16 this year, he was only 2 when Spooky adopted him.  She has put herself between my human family members and harm's way twice now.  Her former owners just don't know what a special little gal they tossed away.  We're thankful she knew where to seek a safe haven because she has been a wonderful part of our lives now for 13 years.  Some people just don't know where their treasures lie.  **We lost our little treasure just a few days shy of her 20th birthday.  The grandest lady I've ever known was called home on March 30, 2006.**
